Marketing Officer

The Fun Miles Marketing Officer oversees the organization's marketing campaigns and plays an important role in developing and executing communication concepts and marketing campaigns for the company.

Fun Miles  Barbados is searching for a Marketing Officer with a knack for communicating and a flair for conceptualizing and implementing marketing campaigns. You will contribute to existing marketing, branding and advertising plans, while assisting with the development of fresh initiatives in line with the Fun Miles goals.

The ideal candidate will be equipped with a relevant qualification and experience in a wide range of marketing functions such as communications, digital marketing, advertising, branding, and social media. To ensure success, you must be an organized person who is able to withstand the pressures of handling varied tasks at the same time and meeting deadlines.

Main responsibilities/Tasks:

• Manage content planning, creation, and delivery of regular newsletters, one-off direct e-mail communication and push notifications.
• Responsible for the annual preparation of business plans in collaboration with Marketing Partners.
• Develop and implement campaigns with Fun Miles Marketing partners.
• Analyze campaign performance metrics to provide actionable insights and evaluate the effectiveness of the campaigns.
• Responsible for writing and distributing press releases to media.
• Plan and coordinate Social Media content including quality-checking & evaluation.
• Plan and coordinate Media interviews and monitoring media coverage and compiling PR performance with support of PR bureau.
• Perform content quality checks for the Fun Miles website 

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related with 3-5 years of experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills
• Fluent in English
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of market research techniques.
• Thorough knowledge of social media and web analytics.
• Basic design and video editing skills

Other Details

• This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. However, due to the nature of the role, occasional work outside of regular office hours and during weekends may be required.
• Location: Fun Miles, Barbados
